🍍 SpongeBob's pineapple

The most famous address in the ocean: 124 Conch Street. SpongeBob lives in a hollowed-out giant pineapple, tastefully furnished and maintained with obsessive care. Inside: a living room, an upstairs bedroom, a bathroom, and above all the famous games room where SpongeBob and Patrick spend their days. Gary the snail has his bowl there.

🪨 Patrick's rock

Right next door, at 120 Conch Street. A simple rock that Patrick lifts to get in. The interior is surprisingly empty — that's the running gag: depending on the episode it contains a television, a bed, or absolutely nothing. Total minimalism, fitting for its occupant.

🗿 Squidward's house

Wedged between the pineapple and the rock, at 122 Conch Street: a house shaped like an Easter Island head. Squidward cultivates his refinement there — clarinet, self-portraits, scented baths — and endures the daily noise of his two neighbours. His geographic position sums up his entire character.

🍔 The Krusty Krab

The most famous restaurant in the ocean, owned by Mr. Krabs. This is where SpongeBob makes Krabby Patties and where Squidward works the register, sighing. The building is shaped like a lobster trap. The safe holding the secret formula is jealously guarded there — and coveted by Plankton for decades.

🪣 The Chum Bucket

Right across the street: Plankton's rival restaurant, desperately empty. Plankton lives there with Karen, his computer wife, plotting to steal the formula. The contrast with the Krusty Krab is one of the series' most durable comic engines.

🌳 Sandy's Treedome

The glass dome where Sandy Cheeks lives. Filled with air, it houses an oak tree, a lawn and her laboratory. Sea creatures must enter wearing water-filled helmets — the exact opposite of the diving suit Sandy wears outside. It's the only "land" location in Bikini Bottom.

🚗 Mrs. Puff's boating school

Home to the longest running gag in the series: SpongeBob has been failing his boating licence there for over twenty years. Mrs. Puff has developed documented post-traumatic stress, episode after episode.

Goo Lagoon: the beach where the whole town gathers, Larry the Lobster's playground. Jellyfish Fields: where SpongeBob and Patrick go jellyfishing.
